Fomo Referral Code: A Plain Guide for First-Time Users of the Fomo App

Fomo is a social trading app for crypto, used on iPhone, Android and the web. New users meet one question early: whether to enter a referral code. These are the answers to the questions people ask most, based on Fomo’s own help pages.
What is a Fomo referral code?
It is an existing user’s username. When a new account joins through it, Fomo records that user as the referrer. The new user pays a lower fee, and the referrer receives a share of Fomo’s fee income from that account.
What does it save?
Fomo’s standard trading fee is 0.50% per trade. With any referral code it falls to 0.45%. On a single $500 trade that is $2.25 instead of $2.50; across $50,000 of trades in a year, $225 instead of $250.
Do all codes give the same thing?
The fee discount is the same for every code. The difference is cashback. Fomo pays a code owner 25% of the fees their referred users pay, and some owners pass part of that back. The owner of the code DEAL, verified working (November 2026), returns 12.5% of the user’s Fomo fees in USDC, an offer known as 10% Off + Fee Cashback. In the $50,000 example that brings the year’s Fomo fees to about $196.88. The details, including how the cashback is paid, are on the Fomo referral code page.
When can a code be added?
Until the first trade. Fomo’s help center says the mobile app asks for a code at login, as long as no referrer is recorded and no trade has been made. On the web app, a code from a fomo.family/r/ link is applied after logging in. After the first trade there is no way to add one.
How does sign-up with a code work?
- Open fomo.family/r/deal on the device you will use.
- Create the account with an Apple ID or a Google account.
- If a code box appears, type DEAL.
- Before the first trade, open a trade preview and check that Fomo’s fee reads 0.45%.
The same page covers the steps for iPhone, Android and the web app.
What if the first trade already happened without a code?
Then the account stays at the standard 0.50% fee. Fomo does not add codes after the first trade, and a recorded referrer cannot be changed.
Are there other costs?
Network fees are separate from Fomo’s fee. Fomo pays Solana gas itself; on other networks, the network fee appears before the trade is confirmed.
Is it safe to use a code?
A referral code only changes who is recorded as the referrer. A genuine Fomo invite link opens the sign-up page; no code needs a seed phrase, a private key or a wallet connection to “unlock” a discount, and pages asking for those should be avoided.
Disclosure: written independently and not connected to Fomo. Whoever owns code DEAL collects the referral commission Fomo pays and gives some of it back to users. Fomo can change its fees at any time. Crypto is volatile; read this as information, not advice.
